Special Thanks!

Thanks for your loyalty and encouragement. As always, I love to hear from readers at haywood100@aol.com This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Just click on the address to reach me. God bless each of you. Every single book sale means so much to my career. Thanks to all of you, I am living my dream. (Which is great, because I’m not fit for anything else.)

Personal Appearances

As always, I waive my usual speaker’s fee when I appear at large women’s charity fundraisers and regional Red Hat get-togethers (with a minimum of 250 pre-sold tickets, the proceeds of which are all yours). All I ask is that my hosts bring me in, put me up in pet-free, smoke-free accommodations, feed me something I can eat (I’m a cheap date; I don’t drink), pay my basic expenses; and have a local bookseller provide copies of my books to offer after I speak (no pressure). Many booksellers will donate a portion of the sales to your favorite charity, which makes it a win, win, win situation—my favorite kind.

For trade shows or professional events, contact me well in advance at haywood100@aol.com, and I’ll have my assistant send you specific terms and requirements. I can only do two out-of-town events a month, so my calendar gets booked up pretty quickly, but I have occasional cancellations (like the New Orleans event that was supposed to be right after Katrina), so even if you’re not booking for next year, e-mail me anyway and I’ll see what we can do.

To inquire about personal appearances, just contact me at haywood100@aol.com.

  1. This was the first book of yours that I had ever picked up and I just finished Queen Bee Returns Home Again. It was nice to read a book that teaches the Love of God in an everyday setting! Yes, the Lord does have a sense of humor, but sometimes he has to slap me upside the head to get my attention too. Sigh….and sometimes it seems I never learn my lessons either.
Being a member of the Red Hat Society, I will look for those books next and of course Granda’s Wisdom.
Again, thank you for the breath of fresh air in the reading world.

  2. Ms. Smith, I love your audio books. The “Red Hat” ones that are read by Darow, I think is great! When is your latest coming out in Audio? Thank you, deb

    1. I just finished “The Red Hat Club Rides Again” and “Wedding Belles”. I
enjoyed both very much but am left wondering what happened to Susu. Not even a mention of her. It seemed very strange, like something was missing.
Can you tell me why she was omitted? Was there a book in between that I missed that would explain? Thank you.

      1. I just finished reading the Red Hat series and was wondering the same about Susu. Where is she? No mention of her at all. Odd. I kept thinking she was going to be a surprise at the wedding or something.

  3. I just found your books at my public library and LOVE them. I will hate when I’ve read them all. I feel like I know the characters. Thank you!

  4. I was wondering about Susu also. You have not addressed anyone letting us know why she was omitted from the Wedding Belles novel (which I am currently reading). WHAT HAPPENED?

  5. Im just starting to write at 54 but I love your Historical Romance fiction. I keep Shadows In Velvet, Secrets In Satin, The Damask Rose and Dangerous Gifts tucked in my armpit! I love your skill and your intelligent style.

Thanks so much for the great books!

  6. I want to suggest your novel”Waking Up in Dixie” to my book club. We always read “heavy stuff” and I am ready for a little fun. We usually supply a lot of background information on the author’s life and I have not been able to find much. I am not tech worthy which might explain my problem.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

  7. I so Love your Books…..want to read them all! I can so relate to the Red Hat ones, as I am 67 years old and have a dear circle of friends from high school that get together, and laugh until we dribble! The Sisterhood, in the Ladies of the Lake are so similar to my experience with 2 sisters…..and we have a cabin in the North East Georgia Mountains, right between Blairsville and Young Harris! I am so thankful that I came across one in the donate/exchange books that they have in the Ingles store and am ordering every single other book through the internet! Keep up the good work…..your writing makes me laugh out loud at times, and is healing for my soul! You have been blessed with a tremendous gift. I believe God gives us these special gifts to use, and uplift others. Bless you!! Thank you!!
